Job Focus

Literally Media is seeking a Programmatic Sales Executive who will be the key sales point of contact responsible for programmatic revenue growth across all sites.  Growth will be driven by proactive sales efforts to strategic accounts (in tandem with external partners), establishing deep relationships with DSPs and related market players, and developing deals / opening direct channels with brands, agencies and trading desks.  

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Identify, pitch, and close programmatic private marketplace deals with agencies, trading desks, client direct partners and DSPs
  • Push the boundaries on programmatic sales, constantly introducing new advertisers, trading desks and valuable DSPs
  • Prepare pitch materials as needed and present Literally’s Programmatic Offering to clients
  • Manage Programmatic Sales pipeline for maximum efficiency and visibility, from pitch to deal activation
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and yield teams to set up campaigns for success
  • Escalate market feedback on measurement needs, product updates and pricing to improve programmatic offerings
  • Develop strong and mutually valuable relationships across clients and the broad programmatic ecosystem

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years proven programmatic advertising sales with digital publishers, and strong history of meeting or exceeding goals
  • Exceptional understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, its operations and technicalities of operating it
  • Outstanding attention to detail with ability to maintain high levels of accuracy within deadline- driven environment
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills  
  • Willingness to travel when needed (less than 25%)

Literally Media is seeking an energetic, persuasive, analytical and hungry Media Sales Manager who is up to the challenge of setting new revenue records across a variety of our digital products.

The ideal candidate is capable of identifying business opportunities, negotiating deals and educating advertisers on how to increase their revenue with our portfolio of digital media products, such as video, branded content, newsletters and more. 

What will you do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Literally Media’s digital products and content capabilities, as well as, creating a clear direction and strategy to achieve LM’s sales goals
  • Drive the entire sales funnel including lead generation, meetings, RFP, negotiating, closing, and advising campaign cadence
  • Identify new strategic clients, advertisers and partners; implementing an effective sales strategy
  • Build strong and profitable relationships with key clients, and constantly grow revenue from existing and new partnerships

Job Focus

Literally Media is seeking a Head of Video to lead all of our cross-platform video efforts across all Literally Media brands, and to work closely with the editorial and content creation teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting our overall video strategy, creating and managing our video production budget, and holding themselves accountable for delivering the required amount of video output across all of our distribution platforms. 

In this role you will manage a team of editors and producers, be responsible for growing and scaling the video team and video output, build our overall video strategy and growth plan, and set appropriate goals and KPIs, delivering results across key audience and revenue metrics.  You will be required to manage both the creative and operational side of the video business – which requires both expertise in leading a talented team of creators while also strategically mapping out team and performance growth, and being confident in communicating a plan and key performance results to peers and the Literally Media executive team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, create and oversee the creation of all Literally Media video (short-form, mid-form, and long form) for all Literally Brands across all distribution platforms
  • Develop and build short-term and long-term strategy and production budgets for entire Literally Media video business; lead team to hit appropriate margins on all video production
  • Partner with and work closely with Literally Media editorial teams to drive high quality video narratives and ensure that the ethos of each Literally Media brand is met across all video efforts
  • Leverage celebrities and influencers to build respective brand affinity and drive audience engagement to all video efforts
  • Drive production excellence by optimizing distribution for every piece of video created  
  • Build strong, positive working relationships with distribution partners (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, etc)
  • Set appropriate video-related KPIs; rally and motivate video team to hit growth targets
  • Unite video, social and editorial efforts through a single brand vision and voice

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in leading video teams, preferably within digital media
  • Management experience: 3+ years of hands-on people management experience
  • A complete understanding of social media platforms and distribution; specifically around how to strategically optimize video for each platform
  • A proven track record of growing audiences and driving user engagement, while meeting commercial revenue goals
  • Previous experience in creating digital video that was at the center of conversation and drove huge engagement – and understanding why that particular video drove the results it did
  • Demonstrated success utilizing data to inform content development and programming strategies
  • A go-getter attitude with the ability to both work independently and collaborate as appropriate; good at being a leader and being hands-on when needed
  • Premium long-form content development and distribution (i.e. Netflix, HBOMax) a plus

Job Focus & Responsibilities

We are seeking an organized, meticulous, self managed, result-driven Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about the Literally Media brands and working with data at scale. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the R&D, Architecture, & Implementation of a unified data infrastructure at Literally Media. 

The Data Insights team is a small and growing, high-impact group of people with Engineering, Data Science, and Design skills that build and support data products that are utilized organization-wide at Literally Media. 

This is a key position within the organization and will work closely with all organizational units to build out our data infrastructure to support our core business and new initiatives.

A successful candidate should feel confident with modern data technologies and tools, understand the basics of digital media and publishing, and have a data-driven mindset. The candidate will report directly to our Head of Product and Technology, in Brooklyn, NY.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Craft and Architect highly scalable data ingestion applications, build real-time and batch ELT/ETL’s, deliver highly visible reports, and build business intelligence tools that are used by all levels of the company.
  • Understand how Literally Media uses big data to drive business decisions, leveraging insights from our unified data infrastructure.
  • Utilize modern data technologies and tools to focus on delivering valuable insights – not maintaining a legacy architecture. You’ll choose and implement the right technologies for the solution.
  • Develop applications, jobs, and APIs that enable teams and software to get access to the data they require
  • Create standards for how our data models are stored and queried
  • Implement data validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Research new and innovative ways to create data products and services to power editorial, product, management, and executive-level teams
  • Work  with remote-first teams across multiple GEO’s; communicating remotely through Slack, docs, video calls, and diagrams.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience architecting, building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes.
  • Familiarity with Big Data: Bigquery, Athena, Redshift
  • Familiarity with BI Tools: Data Studio, Tableau, Looker
  • Experience developing large-scale distributed applications with Big Data
  • Proficiency in the model validation process and optimizations
  • Experience exposing applications as web services or API endpoints.
  • Expertise in developing solutions to analyze large data sets efficiently

Literally Media is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations to lead the Revenue Operations team across all Literally Media brands & business units, and to work closely with respective engineering, editorial and business departments. The ideal candidate will Be responsible for setting our overall revenue operations strategy, creating and managing revenue operations budget, maximizing user & asset value across all brands, initiative & growing alternative revenue streams, and holding themselves accountable for delivering the required revenue targets.

In this role you will be responsible for leading the Revenue Operations team, building growth plans, setting goals and KPI’s, while incubating & growing new revenue streams.  You will be expected to manage revenue partners, provide reporting and insights in real-time, optimization of programmatic ad stack and execution of AdOps tasks, as well as continuously innovating and pushing the bar on user value and alternative revenue streams.  The position consists of daily contact with demand partners, in parallel to managing the technical aspect of the ad serving and media optimization. The candidate is expected to continuously grow revenue, providing insights and daily interaction with the Company CEO.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and build the Literally Media revenue operations short-term and long-term strategy; lead team to hit appropriate goals, milestones and revenue targets
  • Set appropriate revenue-related KPIs; rally and motivate team to hit growth targets
  • Research, ideate and execute diversification of revenue streams across the Literally Media assets 
  • Responsible for ad stack and programmatic results across all formats – display, video and native

  • Create and update revenue data flow focused on delivering actionable insights with clear and concise findings to the various company stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain ad quality/impact across our portfolio of sites, as well as any industry compliance and transparency initiatives
  • Stay up to date on all industry news including updates to Prebid.org, regulatory updates (GDPR, CCPA..etc), Identity solutions, policy changes (ads and content) and key browser changes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading revenue operations teams in a publishing company
  • Master of programmatic ecosystems and platforms such as Google, Rubicon, Index Exchange etc.
  • Experience building and scaling direct to consumer revenue channels in media companies
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute revenue growth plans 
  • Proven experience building and optimizing data infrastructure to manage monetization
  • Experience successfully managing a team
